چکیده

Biological control of gypsy moth ( Lymantria dispar ) was carried out in 2021 the field protective forest belts at territory State Hunting Enterprise Balchik by introducing entomopathogenic fungus Entomophaga maimaiga (Entomophthorales: Entomophthoraceae). In same year a mortality rate 26.1% pest population registered. 2022 E. and multiple nuclear polyhedrosis virus L Ld MNPV) caused collapse region. Azygospores were reported cadavers about 5% middle- late-instar dead host larvae with MNPV polyhedra, which is an indirect indication initial infection fungal pathogen. The epizootic region first recorded case coinfection Bulgaria.

Characterization of Gypsy Moth (Lymantria dispar) Nuclear Polyhedrosis Virus.

Characterization of the proteins and nucleic acid of the gypsy moth nuclear polyhedrosis virus isolated in Ithaca, N.Y. (LdNPV-IT) is presented. A total of 29 viral structural proteins were identified by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis when the virus was isolated in the absence of alkaline protease activity. Fourteen surface envelope viral proteins were identified by l...

A field release of genetically engineered gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar L.) nuclear polyhedrosis virus (LdNPV).

The gypsy moth (Lymantria dispar L.) nuclear polyhedrosis virus was genetically engineered for nonpersistence by removal of the gene coding for polyhedrin production and stabilized using a coocclusion process. A beta-galactosidase marker gene was inserted into the genetically engineered virus (LdGEV) so that infected larvae could be tested for its presence using a colorimetric assay. In 1993, L...

Aminopeptidase-Like Activity in Hemolymph Plasma from Larvae of the Gypsy Moth, Lymantria dispar (Lepidoptera: Lymantriidae)

Aminopeptidase was isolated from the plasma fraction of hemolymph from last instar larvae of the gypsy moth Lymantria dispar. Activity was detected using the synthetic substrate L-alanine-4-nitroanilide. Total aminopeptidase activity per microliter of plasma varied with developmental stage. Activity was detected throughout the last (fifth) larval instar and increased throughout the pupal stage....

Identification and Knockdown of the Olfactory Receptor (OrCo) in Gypsy Moth, Lymantria dispar

The gypsy moth, Lymantria dispar, is an important economic pest that causes large-scale damage to forests worldwide. Because of its important role in initiating and controlling insect behavior, olfaction-and olfaction-based pest management-has drawn increasing attention from entomologists. In this study, we identified the gene that encodes the olfactory receptor co-receptor (OrCo). Through amin...
